Kniha se zaměřuje na dva významné koncepty teorie společnosti: spravedlnost a uznání, především sociální spravedlnost a sociální uznání. Rozebírá jejich význam, jejich vzájemný vztah a jejich společenské, právní a globální aspekty. Ukazuje, že tradiční teorie a praxe zahrnují vážné deficity v oblasti spravedlnosti a uznání a nabízí alternativní přístupy z hlediska kritické teorie společnosti. The book offers essays focusing on the connection between injustice and misrecognition, or justice and recognition (Anerkennung). The formulation of the issue of justice and recognition is closely linked with Axel Honneth as a critical theorist who mostly contributed to philosophical and social scientific research on recognition. The book shows and evaluates what the contributions of Honneth’s theory of social recognition and its relation to justice are. The book as a whole contributes to the current theoretical discussions on justice at domestic and global levels, and presents the significant role of recognition in them.
